Big Cat - Small Fire

By digicammad
First nail down the cat, then get your tripod and camera. :0)

Robbie remarked on how cozy the cat looked, so he became the subject of my HDR attentions. The trouble was, halfway through, he got up to find out what I was doing, so I had to go and sit on the settee for 20 minutes while he forgot about the tripod again.

Anyway, this is the result. 5 exposures at 2 stop intervals were needed to catch the entire range, 3 under and 1 over.

Other than the HDR/tone mapping work I haven't done a lot. Played with the curves in PS, resized and sharpened.

Hope you like it, all comment and critique welcome.

Ian

A nice bit of work here. Had to laugh are your description as I have had to do the same myself with my cat. Nailing him to the floor may be the answer!
Funny, this is so typical of a home where a cat lives - always snuggled up to the fire and hogging it to themselves.
The lighting is is good and the HDR is not overdone (as is so easy to do!).
Surprised that there hasn't been more comments on this.
