Big sky

By Ericsamson
A Mobile Monday shot taken at Goodrington south of Paignton and looking towards Roundham.

Many thanks for the very kind responses to 'Doctored. Who?' and in particular to Malc and Geoff for their very kind awards. PMs to follow!

All the best for the week ahead. Sunny and warm here on the southern fringes of Sherwood Forest; the Sheriff now works from home a lot of the time so the lads and lasses in Lincoln Green are rather kicking their heels and must content themselves with taking pot shots at the tourists. Strangely they seem to love it ... tricky cove Johny Tourist. Must dash as the Unicorn Audit needs updating. G 🙂🦄

PS Fotherington Thomas he like it so much here that he skip and dance and say 'Hello clouds, hello sky'! He are a big sissy and an utter wet. Thort i wood menshon this as i no Mr Willybobble follow the doings of Basil F T with grate intrest. About the only one whoo does!
Yours, The Bard of St Custards, Nigel Molesworth.

There was a time, legend says, when local government internal auditors were wont to check the ducks on the lake in the park on a regular basis.

Something called 'systems audit' ruined that one, and led to work being concentrated on things worth auditing, and likely to go astray. I understand that a sort of post-modern, post-systems approach is now being adopted in the public sector, on the basis that auditors simply (a0 get in the way; and (b) tell people to stop doing things that are profitable and enjoyable, even if they are outside the envelope of acceptable expenditure. The envelope is, of course, brown, and supplied by Matt Hancock's family.

Big sky, eh? How can you afford the taxes on such a vast amount of cloud? Also, it is rather vulgar to show off your wealth in this fashion, shouting it from the rooftops, as it were. It simply isn't done, old chap. Not cricket, what? Now run along and tell Matron I want a double helping of her dumplings this evening...

A very lovely capture, Graham, and what a super cloud formation 👍 Yes, one to be viewed large 😃
Another warm & sunny day here in Costa del Wakefield, though a bit more hazy sunshine 🌞
