You were lucky - my sister and I were surrounded once by cows - maybe they had calves and were protecting them
but we were scared! I like your hairy cow though!

You were right in being a little worried as cattle can and sometimes do turn dangerous but these are Highland Cattle, renowned for their gentle ways. Mind you, you could still have been surrounded as they are so nosey and what seems like a gentle push to one of them could well be lift-off time for a mere human!!! My favourite here is V1.

He looks so cute Barbara but I always give them a little distance when out walking. Close proximity at the show last Saturday and some of the cattle are so HUGE!!!! and strong!!!

I hear that the windswept look is all the rage these days, Barbara. And that's no bull.

Such lovely bovine portraiture you've got in V1 here. So sweet with that hair blowing all over the place Smile Beautiful colour too in V2! I like how he (she?) is semi-framed in V2 by that stone wall.

Good shots Barbara, glad you came out of it fairly unruffled.

Good pictures, Barbara! But be careful, the bulls are unpredictable!
In response to your comment: surely you're right, I should be more restrained, the audience is very different ... I'll try to take this into consideration. Thank you, Barbara!Smile
