Birch bolete (Leccinum scabrum) commonly known as the rough-stemmed bolete, scaber stalk bolete, is an edible mushroom in the family Boletaceae. The birch bolete is widespread in Europe and elsewhere in the Northern Hemisphere, occurring only in mycorrhizal association with birch trees.
