Bird in the Hand.

By Buffalo_Tom
Picture taken on the walkabout in the Neath Valley last Sunday. We stopped for a cuppa and this little Robin payed us a visit.Alan (Valleywalker)enticed it on to his hand with some biscuit crumbs and this is the only shot I managed to take.Seeing as there are not many Robin images posted this year I thought I had better redress the balance a little bit.
Guess what its snowing again. The weathermen lied it wasn't supposed to happen here today.
Enjoy your day and thanks for looking.

Cute little chap! Love the balance with the tones of the background and the colours of the robin himself. I would have cloned out the white patch immediately behind the bird it's a little distracting on the eye. Nicely composed with just enough hand shown with the robin definately taking pride of place.

Cracking shot Tom - He sure was a friendly little chap, we should tell the others that later on we returned to that spot and whilst I waited for you to return from the 1st falls he jumped back onto my hand and shared my roll - great experience !!

Btw...just laughed at the weatherman on the TV - no snow in Wales today...uh, he ain't seen outside my house!!

Robins are one of the things that make winter bearable. This is just delightful, quirky and humorous. We've just had a dusting of snow overnight in the NE but it's ****** cold!

I can't believe your robins are so tame. Ours are much bigger and wouldn't go anywhere near people. This is a lovely little fellow. Great shot. He's a beauty.
