Bird prints in the sunset

By Kaxxie
The stone jetty in Morecambe is one of my favourite places to walk in all weather. I love the way the setting sun is reflecting on the sand & illuminating the birdís footsteps. It was a calm, peaceful evening.

It can be rotated to get te horizon straight. You can do it in the camera using the edit function in camera roll.

Ive uploaded a mod thats rotated to show the amount.

Keep in mind with the iPhone 8 that the 2x lens, or zooming in doesn't use image stabilisation so an image can be shaky; its not an issue here, but with some previous shots youve taken.

Happy Christmas and welcome to EPZ.

That rotation flattens the ocean as well. There's a program called Photoscape. It has a free version that allows most basic adjustments to your photo - like straightening the horizon.

A beautiful sunset and reflection of it on the sand.

Thank you for your comments. Iíll look into straightening the horizon. I havenít ever altered a photo.... itís a learning curve!
Cheers

Hi again:

Most photos need some twigging - even things like straightening the horizon. I cropped your photo in to just show the prints on the beach, just to show that sometimes you can get more than one nice picture from a single photo. It's daunting at first but start with a couple of the twigs. As you said it's a learning situation.

If you need help, message me. Good luck! Dora

I think this actually could be a really good image Karen. You have some lovely colour tones here and the shape of the sands give that interest through the photo.

LOL, I remember that feeling! Look under your photo and you will see "Modifications (2)" Click on it and then on 1 for Banehawl and 2 for mine. Click Modifications (2) to get back to your original. I see in your last post that you have a couple of heavy hitters helping you with modified versions to show you what you can do with your original. People with top of the line cameras and lots of experience can get what they want with just the camera.Others of us use photo adjustment programs to fix our mistakes - like slanting horizons.
Hi Dora

Youíre a star.

Iím glad you started off with the Ďarghí feeling. Iíve found the modifications now. Thank you

I see Dudler has also commented on your last post so you are in good hands. I'll leave them to it. They know much more than I do. But if you have another argh moment give me a shout. We've all had them You have a good eye for sure. Now you just have to teach your camera to see what you see.
Thanks Dora. Saying you think I have a good eye means a lot coming from you. Your photos are very good.

Do I just comment on her if I want to ask something? If Iíve asked for critique on a photo can I still see if I get any likes? I canít see them on my storm photo. Iím such a child...I do like to see if I get any likes.

Regards

Karen

I think if you want to ask a question (other than a very simple one) it might be better to send a message. As for the critiques, I think when you actually go in that direction, you don't get votes, etc. The idea is you want serious help with the photo and your not submitting as a finished product. I think. Not sure.
