Bird Walk

By debster
Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend!

The weather here has been pretty miserable so I'm raiding the archives I'm afraid Smile

This is Bournemouth Pier in early Spring - I was just drawn to the warm evening light and the way it seemed to highlight the pier.

Thanks for looking,

Beautiful evening light, good long shadows falling across those wonderfully rich toned boards.

I'm surprized you didn't put this one up a long time ago. That light is excellent and the perspective is laid out perfectly. Of course the pigeon with long shadow is a perfect finishing touch.

Great use of perspective. Nice complementary colours as well. Click,

great capture, has a quiet and simple feel to it.

Very, very, very, very classy shot, Debbie. Exceptional capture of light and remarkably pure, clean lines. A stunning image with or without the pigeon!

Placing the pigeon there was inspired. It looks like he's on a loooong trek to the end of the pier.... Wink

Great stuff, Debs!

Debbie, my very first thought on seeing your picture was a memory of learning perspective in an art lesson at school, many many years ago. I remember practicing with faint converging lines to a distant point. This would have been a perfect example of how to do it. You have captured not only the perspective but the colour and feel of the pier. I am glad you raided your archives for this.

Wow, I'm astounded but obviously delighted!

For some reason, I couldn't access EPZ last night so it's a great surprise this morning to see how well this has done.

As it's from the archives, it was obviously something I dismissed earlier this year - I'm obviously not a very good judge with my own work!!

Thanks to everyone for taking the time out for me. I'm very grateful.

Nice light qualiy but not sure about the shot being empty of people. I think I would have likned to have seen a couple walking down?
