There is a stillness here that I find almost melancholic. I can't help thinking that crane represents a different time when this part of the Clyde might have been busy with industry. [Though I accept that it would probably not have been as pristine then - and who knows if they were good old days or if today is better.]

Hi George, how right you are.

The crane is all that is left of John Browns shipyard. This ship builder was world class building some of the best know ship afloat.....alas it's all long gone.
