Bittern Feathers

By HenB
Another shot from Gosforth Park taken same day as my in Flight . Took this to show how well the feathers of this beautiful bird match its usual surroundings.
If you look at dark patterns on wing feathers and compare to slightly out of focus top left areas .of full picture, you will see. Thanks again to all who voted and gave UA,s for my last Upload as they are always much appreciated.
Regards Harry

One of my favourite marsh birds from my teenage years; we would walk to our old fishing hole and almost always scare one of these to wing, and the sounds they make are so unique. For camo they stick their head up and sway with the grasses and reeds, something to watch. Good job.

The camouflage is wonderful which makes your capturing this lovely bird all the more commendable.
