Bittern Jnr

By TerryMcK
A juvenile Bittern that has yet to learn that its species is supposed to be seclusive and elusive. It had left the cover of a nearby reedbed to feed in a stretch of open, shallow water.

I'm grateful to those who reacted to my previous picture, "Otters." A special mention to Steve (sparrowhawk) for his UA.
