Black Beach

By RobboB
Thank you everyone for the feedback on my Three Kings image and especially to Moira, Helen, Miejanjic, Stephen and Lillian for their UAs.

These are the stacks at the Black Beach near Vik. Its a dangerous beach to be on as every 10-15 waves are much bigger and go significantly further up the beach. I certainly got very drenched along with some unsuspecting Japanese photographers. My gear was okay fortunately as my camera and tripod stayed upright, i had planted it firmly in the sand, as i ran up the beach to no avail. The previous week some people lost their lives here. I heard about the 10-15 wave thing only afterwards as i went into the outdoor clothes shop in Vik to get new socks and the lady their told me about the dangers of the beach. "Black beach" in name, colour and nature methinks.

Similar to the stacks on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia
A stunning shot in wonderful low light
