Black Cat

By Ploughman
I just like the lines of this car. Not sure if I have done it justice. Please let me know what you think.

Nicely processed image.
However, what I noticed first was... the number plate is blank. I realise why the letters/numbers have been removed, but it had me focus on the number plate instead of the image itself.
As you have asked what we think... I would like to suggest either 'photoshop' some lettering in, or clone the number plate out completely.
Of course, this is only my opinion Smile Cheers -- Steve

Thanks for your comments Steve,
I am tempted to make up a number and add to the plate. I tried putting the word `JAGUAR` in but somehow it spoiled the whole effect.
Cloning is another idea, may well try it.

Hi Richard, I like the shot of the car its a nice image showing off the lines of the car however I have to agree with Steve the white number plate and also the white headlights draw my eye and seem to over power the whole image. I've loaded a mod to demonstrate changing the colour from white to black. The headlights are different because they should have some for of reflection due to the glass - at present the left headlight looks as if you have painted it out. All I can suggest would be to look at reprocessing this area and try to leave some detail visible.

I see you tried putting jaguar on the numberplate, unfortunately that will have a similar effect to the plain white plate, whihould only be used if you wish to draw the eye to a specific thing or detail as in the alloy wheels, the detail around the air vents or the rad grills.

Hope I've helped.

Strangely enough the first thing I wanted to do was to add my own number plate in here. So I guess that adds weight to the comments above.

The overall effect otherwise is very good. There are some parts like the light and wheels which are also blanched out but I guess that was intentional to give the striking quality you have attained. Well done.

Initially, a lot of impact, but then that number plate hits, and does the image no good at all. You have obviously gone for very high contrast and it's a bit too much for me with burnt out highlights. Think I might stay with colour for this and find a location without the wall.

I have uploaded a modification. My latest attempt, added a number as well as detail to headlight.

Huge improvement for me and I think it really pulls your shot together.

Well Done.

Much better, see if you can buy the plate then fix it with a black headded screw in the space between the "1" and the "I" at the bottom. Unfortunately you can't buy plates with an "I" on. To get mine 'Frank Robert Irwin, I had to buy FRI2 DAD as an "I" is the same as a "1".

This modification makes all the difference to an eye-catching white oblong.

Thank you Eric and Frank. Hope I did not give the impression that is my car, sadly it is not. I reckon I could do a good trade in personal plates, if only it was a legal occupation.

Your own mod is a great improvement and a strong image. Still not keen on the wall though.
