Reminds me a lot of a similar Don McCullin picture of a Whitechapel Tramp.

Hello Phil, thank you for your kind comments & links.......wish I have the talent to capture that amazing monochrome portrait......so difficult to compare as it was captured on film & printed on gelatin paper & I only do digital & in jpeg. Best wishes from Kuala Lumpur. ee Smile

Ah, but don't forget you are viewing the Don McCuliin image as a JPEG.

I spent from 1970 to 2000 printing my own black and white film. I can honestly say that you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a JPEG off a modern camera and a film scan or a print. Actually, the digital would have less grain/noise.

As all my work is for publication, it's quite normal for me to work in JPEG only.
