Bleached Limbs

This tree must have died in the 2004 Tsunami and part buried in sand. It was taken on a beach in the Seychelles. The bleached trunk and branches appeared to me like body parts, inverted, twisted and broken. A bit in the eye of the beholder. The lighting was harsh so exposed to retain the detail in the bright wood areas and converted to mono to give drama and de-emphasise what was a deep blue sky!

It looks like a contemporary sculpture which might be trying to portray the human form in disarray??? Whatever, it has an interesting acrobatic form that is open to varied interprerations, and I like the way you have presented it here.

Thanks for all the comments and awards! I walked round and round this tree to try and get the best composition. Tight crops didn't seem to work too well. It looks at its best as a large print, but it tends to split viewers.
