Award Shortlist

BleakMid Winter

By GordonLack
First of all thank you for your votes and comments on yesterdays image especially to Ian for your award, greatly appreciated. Once again it's a busy time, so I'm sorry for voting and running. There does not seem to be enough hours in the day as the business takes up a lot of my time.

Todays image is part of the field we look onto. The ever changing view of the seasons. The crop this year is oilseed rape so hopfully a sea of yellow during April & May. Although the snow has fallen and we have had some sharpe frosts, (-10C 2 nights ago) the ground is still soft and waterlogged and the pigeons seen in the field & trees are having a feast on the crop.

Has a cold feel about it, like the diminshing hedge as the image curves round Gordon!
