Blencathra Burst

By sut68
This shot was my aim for the weekend just gone. The initial intention was to get onto Catbells, but realising that this was taking me a little further south than I wanted to be I settled for this spot on Skelgill Bank to catch the sun rising. This allowed me to catch the sun hitting the footworn path in the foreground as well as keeping some of the snaking lower pathway visible too.

A few more clouds wouldn't have gone amiss, but unfortunately the weather report was correct and it was clear skies at dawn going into cloudy skies later on. Maybe next time Grin

A cracking image Paul and unmistakably yours. Some great light and very good processing if I'm not mistaken - I'm coming to appreciate that fine art more and more as time goes by.

Barney

Hey Barney, BIB BIG thanks for your award, means a lot. Glad you liked it enough to think it merited it Smile

Glad you like the processing too, hopefully understated rather than over? Grin

Yeah definitely understated Paul, that's the trick isn't it - getting just the right amount of processing done but still enough to make it 'pop'. As I said, good job Wink
