Blood and Tears

By Paul_Iddon
No children were harmed in the production of this photograph!

I was trying to create something surreal and this is the result of some time thinking, and a lot of preparation.

This is my daughter Rachel, who sat patiently to pose for me. But not with the needle there! It is of course two photos blended, with just my daughter in the first frame, and the syringe in the second. The whole is meant to make you ask yourself "is it blood or tears we see see?"

The "droplet is actually printer ink.

Very clever. I'd like to see one using selective colour with only the droplet in blood red.

Good this a lot. A really, really high key image of this would have worked even better I reckon, but as a start on this, the idea is superb! I like the contrast in the droplet against the skin too. Really like this.
