The simplicity of this photo makes it very good. Well taken. Pete Howe

Yep, I agree simplicity makes it a great picture. I am actually thinking of buying the Sigma 10.0-20.0 mm f/4.0-5.6 , do you have any problems with vignetting when using filters.

Nice detail in the rocks and movement in the water. I love this type of photography. I am actually thinking of buying the Sigma 10.0-20.0 mm f/4.0-5.6 , do you have any problems with vignetting when using filters.

Yes there is a problem with "vignetting" when using filters but this is something I have so far managed to work round and I have had no regrets about buying the lens.

I am not an expert of photographic technology and completely hopeless when it comes to keeping a log of what I used & what was the effect, therefore I can't really advise on how I get round the vignetting issues but from what I can remember I just change the zoom.

The other two bits of advice I can offer is that I often use manual focus and the focus ring on the lens is placed in the opposite position to that on a standard Nikon lens, which can be a pain at times

Thanks for replying. Very helpful advice especially regarding the focus ring which is something I had not thought about.
