Blue Danube, Budapest

By Alda
Not a terribly inspiring photo today, I'm afraid, but I haven't had a chance to get out, so one from the archives, taken with a not brilliant point and shoot camera.

Taken from Margaret Island in the middle of the River Danube, showing the Pest side of Budapest. If you're ever looking for a lovely place to stay, I can highly recommend the Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget on Margaret Island. It's a 4 star health resort and well worth a visit GrinGrin

I need (want) to buy a new lens, and I'm torn between a 18-105mm, 55-200mm, or 70-200mm (can't afford 18-200 Sad). Any suggestions/help will be much appreciated Grin

A lovely scene, Thank you. The standard 55z250 Gives good quality but that depends on it's use

A very calming and rather delightful image of the Danube Alda.

It's the photographer that makes the picture Grin and this one is not to be sneezed at.

Good shot Alda - I think I might go for the 55mm - 200mm but I suppose it depends on what other lenses you have already.

I have the 18-55mm kit lens, and a 50mm f1.8 Grin

I would not say that this view is quite simple and bored ... At least I like it very much!Smile
I have got a 55-200 mm lens and I can say that it is quite good one for portrait, wildlife photography and macro. For example: my picture "Pond skater with its prey" was taken with this lens.
