Blue Explorer Sports Glider

By teocali
Blue Explorer - 5.6 metres weighing 9kg - Carbon Version by Blue Airlines. Primarily a sports glider for speed and soaring using a 17"x10" folding prop powered by 8s Lipo through a 110 amp speed controller. One of the biggest sports gliders you can buy.
This Glider belongs to my son-in-law and is quite a challenge to track! The motor powers the climb to height and the aircraft then glides, looking to find thermals. Needs an experienced operator!

My thanks to you all for your support of my last upload - much appreciated as always Smile

I'll stick to my RC aquaplanes......Now they can shift at 60-70mph across the water!

I wish, Helen! You would have to be Thumbelina to do so, however - it is a radio controlled model weighing 9kg Smile

All model planes are a challenge to track. At least RC models stay more or less in range. I fly (and photograph) free flight models and with those you have to get your shot in quick as they climb away and drift downwind and out of range in a matter of seconds.

But I digress. This is a lovely shot, nicely composed and conveying the elegance of the model to perfection.
