Blue Poppy petals.

By AnnJ
These beautiful Blue Meconopsis (poppies) have just unfurled in my garden. I just love the delicate pattern in the petals as well as that gorgeous blue. Unfortunately there was a slight breeze so I had to up the ISO in order to get a fast enough speed to capture this macro image .Ann.

Have toned down the highlights in V2 but not sure if this has improved things?

A good abstract using a close up of the petals. Toning down the highlights has had the effect of increasing the colour density, which I think has helped the l/h petal, but has lost a little detail in the r/h petal. It's a very delicate adjustment and one of a personal preference. Maybe a third image with the adjustment applied to the l/h petal only. You won't please all the people all of the time. But both images are very good in their own right.Smile

V 1 is my favourite
Beautifully subtle blues, delicate detail in these so fragile leaves.
I wonder if you have one with more of the wonderful diagonal running across the frame.

I've neve seen one of these in Scotland.
