Blue tit in spade handle!

By DaveBartlett
Thanks for the comments on recent posts - much appreciated. Today a blue tit framed in the handle of an old spade .. I thought this would be easy, but it was the only one that perched in the right place out of about a hundred times they perched in the wrong place!

Beautiful image: so fortunate the bird landed where it did, allowing you to capture it with the handle framing it so nicely.

Just needs the classic Robin now. Try drilling a small hole in the back and putting peanut butter in. That'll do the trick

I had a little smile to hear you say out of 100 this was the only one to perch thereSad I put a spade in our garden hoping for a similar picture but not one bird perched there at all and I left it for weeks - love your shot tho
