Blues Filter

By gajewski
I know I haven't been a good neighbor lately but I will get back to your portfolios. In the meantime, here's a shot I took one of the Stroll and Savor events in my town of Long Beach, California.

I took a picture of the crowd (V2) and then, back at the computer, applied the new Photoshop Blues Music filter (filters/music/blues) and you see the result here.

This is musician Brian Young. When I found out he was performing in a local club, I had a 14 by 11 (inches) print made and left him a copy as a surprise gift.

Excellent image and good to give him a big print. I do that too and get more smiles all around. This is a top notch good mood portrait. Love the blues too. TG

Wonderful contextual portrait, Walter. Great DOF, lovely facial expression. I did the same for my blacksmith and made friends with him.

Warm light catching a warm smile. I can appreciate the reasons for blurring the enigmatic lady in the background but I do rather like V2...

Two excellent versions of this engaging portrait. The preferred version is obviously a matter of taste. Mine leans me towards V2 with the active involvement of the lady in the background.

Well done you for making the surprise gesture with that print, a lovely thing to do.
