Blushing sisters

By redstag
This was the last moments of the sunset, the point where the rim of the horizon turns pink. The sun had all but gone, but there was the delicate blush still across the seven sisters.

I only went to this location after a couple who were walking along Seaford beach suggested I make the trip. They saw me with my camera and after the usual, what are you doing niceties they suggested the trip over the headland.

It turned out that it was the best decision of the day, I had a great time. Particularly once I had made it down to the beach.

Hope you enjoy this shot as much as I did taking it. I put a cropped version of this in a frame for Rachel (my wife) for Christmas. It now sits in pride of place in the downstairs loo! LOL. It fits well with the nautical theme.

All comments welcome, and thank you all for the support and comments in the last year. Heres to a summer in 2009, maybe! (Edit, of course I mean 2008, well spotted Warney!)

Warney, well spotted, I'm wishing my life away! LOL.

a little bit confused as the sun would be setting behind you and normally the sky is that colour where the sun sets when i first saw it i thought it might be sunrise

will have to go down there again myself

excellent couple of photo's colours are great

do you live local to there

Eon,
No, I am not local to there, my Dad came from Seaford though, so there is a connection.
The sun had got to the point where it tinged the whole horizon with colour, it really is worth a trip down there at this time of year.
