Boats

By saltireblue
Taken looking down from a bridge in Durham on the first day of the saltireblue invasion of the NE of England. We conquered parts of Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear...well I think it was a draw, actually...we left them intact and we managed to return home unscathed.

More images to follow...

Thanks to the woolybills for their input and for providing excellent provisions and shelter during our raid.

Thanks for bothering.

Malc

Your fleet of Viking long boats?
Very nicely done, considering that there weren't nearly as many boats as are usually available!

One longboat, one shortboat and one diddyboat Smile
I really like the way you have brought out the tones in the trio and the cracked concrete.
Excellent composition, too.
And I'm so glad you did not engage in an involuntary swim at this juncture.

Laping and rooting, according to Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine. I've been looking for ages for a picture to go with the title...

I'm so disappointed to learn you took this from a bridge, Malc, I thought the Wollybill's would have had you hanging upside down from a helicopter Wink

Excellent Malc. The composition is really abstract and concentrates the eye on just what is important.....Peter

Nicely taken on the occasion of your invasion, during your raid when you stayed, when you went bonkers and conquered.

There was no need to enter the area then leave with all the good shots. Now where do we natives find our winners.
