Boom

By Paul_Barr
The Red Road Flats in Glasgow were an iconic landmark since they were built in the 1960's.

They were demolished in October last year and large crowds of people gathered to watch the event. I managed to get into a tower block with a direct line of sight and set up the tripod on the 16th floor landing with an open window.

I thought that there would have been more of a warning before the blast but thankfully managed to catch the point of detonation.

Once the dust settled it was clear that all had not gone according to plan and two of the towers were left partially standing and had to be taken down fully by machines.

Thanks,

Paul
