Boscombe Pier.... Long exposure

By marktc
This is the lens breaker...OK It's official the lens has sand in its ring (ouch) and is OOA for many months to come so once my latest batch of images have been processed, no more landscapes, so if you enjoy looking then make the most of them.

Wifey is now officialyy unemployed and Benjamin starts nursery next week... god alone knows how we're going to cope and so the only way is up!

Thanks for all your support folks, yesterdays upload has to rate amongst my all time favourites and I'm very grateful for all the terrific comments on it.

I'm going to miss morning sunrises and my precious long exposures, but I guess it will just make it all the sweeter when things are eventually sorted out.

Thanks for looking and for your time.

The 35 secs makes an excellent contrast between the static sea and moving clouds, Mark, and a very strong composition.

Dave its certainly deceiving as the wind had whipped the waves up and there must have been 5 or 6 foot breakers coming in. Thats probably why the pier supports are a bit misty with the waves crashing against them.

Cracking image, Mark. So sorry to hear that life is throwing so much at you right now, wish I was a Canon user as I would lend you a lens so we can continue to see your fine work, but I have Nikon myself. Hope things are on the up again very soon.

So sorry Mark about double whammy.
I hope your wife can find another job very soon.
Did the sand get in just by falling in the sand? - a big warning to us all.
Hope some kind of rescue comes your way.
Interesting to see the water which wasn't moving so smooth against the long exposed waves.
Also the results of spray on pier.
We'll miss all these images till you get sorted.
