Great composition in this scene with the wreck and the water including the landscape...but the most stunning aspect of the image is the cloud formation and its atmospheric features. Great work.

That sky is just amazing. The boat adds a little bit of interest in the foreground, but really just the sky is enough!

You keep photographing all my favourite places Steve!

This is a brilliant shot but, for once, I find the Velvia effect almost too much. I guess in this case it really would look better to me projected as a slide.

Absolutely great.
The range of tones and "depth" of this photo make it one of my favourites.

This is one excellent shot Steve, everything is right about it, definitely your best yet. This has an almost painterly feel to it.

I like the placing of the boat in the frame, and the way all the vertical lines point to that cloud. Another high impact and dramatic cracker steve.

Excellent shot as I've come to expect from you. Did you use a filter on the sky? Just curious as I've just bought a set of Lee coloured grads.

Thanks for all the comments.
This shot has been done a number of times by visitors to the area. I was lucky enough to have good light and a great sky.
Mike - I was only fighting for space with the birdwatchers - I am sure you would have taken some great shots of the many and varied species there were present!
Gerwyn - filters were Full Grad , 81C and polariser - steve

Steve,

You are one dedicated guy! The lighting in all your shots is superb. It really 'makes' the image every time. You must have some composure to stop from clicking that shutter until late late afternoon. Another wonderful picture.

kind regards,
adam.
