Bow Lake

A young couple out in their canoe on Bow Lake, Canadian Rockies. Amazing scale in the landscape here - one of my favourite places.
Eagle-eyed viewers might spot the white cat they take out with them on their canoe trips !

They're certainly dwarfed by their surroundings, Malcolm
It would be a much diminished image without the canoe providing scale.

The sheer scale is that much better appreciated by having the canoe and it's occupants in frame: I can't get over the size of these scree slopes. I'm afraid my eyesight is not sufficient to spot there cat though.

They are brave ...that glacial fed lake is ice cold year round ! Great emerald coloured water from that lake that provides Calgary Alberta with half its drinking water .
