Braced against the breeze

By Gerryrys
Hi Each

Went out to one of the local ponds yesterday looking for raptors. After two hours of surveying a near empty sky whilst eating all my sandwiches I found another subject for my lens.

I know nothing about these wee beasties but they are fun to watch. Occassionally the stop flitting about long enough for you to grab a picture. Smile

Thank you for looking and thanks for your ongoing comments and critique.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Gerry

It sounds like you have some of my bad luck, going out in the hope to do some bird photography only for them to disappear when you get out there Smile Always nice to have something to fall back on though, dragonflies are a good substitute Smile But something i have not managed successfully yet....

Nicely caught

Excellent close up shot. They always seem to return to the same stick over and over again. According to Simon King, if you place a stick where there are dragonflies, sooner or later one will land on it.
