i like the image here, the composition is very nice, the lead in is strong down to the stopper, the sky is pretty interesting and the exposure well balanced to the right.

i somehow feel that the colour caste towards magenta is spoiling an otherwise super shot and that stripped down to a low contrast mono you have somnething of a Michael Kenna style classic.

i did a quick mod which would have needed a little longer to get best effect but i think you will see what i mean,

best regards

I love the composition and you have slowed the water down nicely too. I notice you are using cokin filters and I wonder if they have caused a purple cast to the shot. On my monitor the colours look slightly out. That aside its a nice, simple, well judged shot and I like the positioning of the gronye too.

I like the composition. I am not sure about the colours - it is probably a matter of personal taste. I did note however that the image lacks a bit of brightness which I have tried to alter in a mod. Steve.

i wondered about making the groyne (and the attractive breaking waves) more clearly the subject of the image. i think you also have some biggish areas with not much interest in them.

image 3 mod -
move forward 10ft to try and remove sand - it's a bit featureless imo
crop sky at left- it's a bit featureless imo
crop slightly at right to get the groyne into a nice spot
b+w the image and increase contrast
