Bransdale Bridge

By GlynnisFrith
Another one from Bransdale but this time of a sand stone bridge, on this side of the bridge the arches are rounded but on the other side they are square, I much prefer this side.
I did well for light on the stone work as it gives a warm glow & contrasts with the purple of the heather above.

Tech 1/8sec, f18, ISO 100 @ 42mm on tripod

I prefer the un-cropped version of the two.

The cropped version focuses more strongly on the quality of the stone itself. But I like both!

Definitely prefer uncropped, for the composition. Somehow the shadows are too dominant for me in the cropped version. Lovely shot of the stonework, soft honeyed tones in the sun.

I like this very much, especially the detail and colour of the stonework. John.
