She looks fit!!!
Very powerful action shot, helped by the diagonal presentation
The colours are great and she looks to be really enjoying herself
All in all, one cracking shot!!

Thanks Mudge, she's a typical brazilian woman: sensual, healthy and happy..!

Welcome to the Critique Gallery Sergio.

This is a great shot. You have captured the movement of the woman very well and as Mudge says the diagonal presentation gives an extra dimension to the shot.

My only question mark is about the crop. You have placed her quite tight in the frame and chopped off the top of her head and the ends of her hair. I am just wondering, as this is an action shot, whether it could benefit from having a bit more space around the woman. I realise the sand is not particularly interesting but a bit more room to breathe might be best.

Hope you enjoy the site, Sergio.

Best wishes

Hi Catherine,

Although I consider your critique relevant, I do think that aesthetic is not affected by a slight crop here or there. About space around the girl, it was impossible to achieve it due to existence of two other players at her left and right sides! I also had another problem to deal with: the existence of a net (just look close to see it) between me and the girl, thus I had to work at full aperture to minimize it. Anyway many thanks for comment & attention too...Sergio

Hi Mudge,

A b&w version is interesting too, but I think the girl's skin tone is a must in this shot! Thanks anyway. Sergio

hello ,
great action capture, the netting nicely out of focus to the point where its only noticable after looking for a while. the diagonal composition works well and adds to the dynamic of the action but a slight amount of space (and it wouldnt take much) would be vital to make this image work to its potential.

if cropping was an issue then it could be possible to extend the canvas and clone the background over to provide that tiny amount that is required. i could live with the bottom corner but the head and hair is another thing.
its still strong as an image, but needs the space to be a killer image

bmh 1,

The "warmth" of overall picture enhances the sensual & tropical appeall of the shot, so (sorry) it makes no sense for me to "cool" the white balance...
