Brean winter sunset .4

By alansdottir
Another from that visit to Brean Down* back in February this year, taken only a minute or so after the previous offering and avoiding the actual orb of the hazy winter sun so as to catch truer colour without blasting the sky.

*Brean Sands, Somerset - see also Brean winter sunset .3 (uploaded 25 Sept)

Very nice, I love the shadowed detail in the forground, well captured.

I love sunsets, and this is special as I love the low angle, and the way you've actually left the glow out of the sun. Intentional? Also love the glow caught on the sand, now please forgive the ignorance, but is this Brean sands??? Many happy memories from here... I do also spot a slight tilt to the right on the horizon, if not then I owe many apologies to lots of people and must get my monitor checked!

Horror of horrors! I admit it does look as if there is a 'slight tilt' on the horizon - but viewed full screen with the straightening grid, it looks to be a combination of mists/haze (it was a very hazy day) and lens distortion (and there's not much I can do about that at the moment!)

Thanks for your lovely comments - always appreciated! Carol
