Nice use of that lamppost to 'hold the shot down', if that makes sense.

Hi Ed
Cannot help but notice all these shots have the sky burnt out! Not sure how your camera works, but if there is and exposure lock on it, point the camera at the sky to take a reading, then press the exposure lock to lock in, now move the camera to the composition required and shoot, the foreground will be very dark but this can be brought back in Camera Raw or Photoshop, if there is no focus lock, point camera at sky, take the reading and use this reading in manual mode, just trying to help my friend.

Regards

Trev.

Great comp again and such wonderful colours in those trees. Guess it is as well that bridge is so well served by that wonderful light come a dark night as it would otherwise be so easy to miss your step and end up joining those Mallards!

Bourton is a very photogenic village, Ed. I must have been 10 when there, but I can still remember it to this day.
Very good images which are a real advert for the village.

Sorry, lighting is flat, the sky is burnt out taking most of the trees details with it too Sad
Do what achiever wales suggests or/and get yourself a set of ND grads to keep the sky details, I'm sorry but with all the magazines/internet coverage photography gets these days its easy to get the basics correct at this level.
Not the only one burnt out Ed, so am i Xmas shopping, pleased its once a year, portfolios a joy, all the best
