Award Shortlist

Rather than going back to bed yesterday morning, I thought I'd get creative with some vegetables ... this is the result. The asparagus was a bit past its best, so the only other option in the fridge was the tender-stem broccoli. The background is a wooden herb chopper.

Natural light from the french windows, slightly diffused by the vertical blinds. Used a tripod and a remote release.

Later that evening I cooked and ate the broccoli ... it was very nice Grin

I'll have to say I really really hate broccoli ... but wow !
This is beautifully done indeed - excellent light and composition and I think going B+W really works so well here.

Not that I'm tempted to go eat some, but at least now I can look at it and not shudder.

I like the contrast between softness of the broccoli and the graining in the wood. really suits mono. Exposure and tonal range are good. congrats on the award well deserved. paul

Being part of my staple diet I can only conclude you such as I would steamed it gently for 8 minuets! smothered it in butter and consumed it, thus increasing your brain power to go on to your next project, nice mono like it regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinTongueTongueTongueTongueTongue
