Messing around with extension tubes the other night; I haven't really made a concerted effort to get to grips with them. I tried two lenses and various amounts of extension - I think I took this with the 24-70 (no idea which ext tubes). Flash on max, bounced off ceiling. Auto ISO, don't think I'd like to do without it now Smile . Minor colour and exposure adjustments, slight sharpening applied to the central portion.

Comments and critique always welcome, thanks for looking!

Thanks for the narrative, I have not yet got to grips with extension tubes and they are currently gathering dust............... this is a great image to inspire me to have another go with them

Thanks Tish. Go for it! I did out of boredom and bad weather/ early darkness. If you have a tripod, don't be lazy like I was; focusing and composing while hand-held can be tricky. And hotshoe or off-camera flash, if you have it, will come in handy. Try it and let me know how you get on.
