I do like the composition here and the B and W presentation works so well too: my only reservation is that the water has recorded as a milky stream due to the longer exposure, and I would have preferred to see a little more detail there. That of course might not have been possible given the light conditions.....you don't mention the ISO used, but perhaps trying it a bit higher and thus obtaining a slightly faster shutter could have worked. However don't take this to heart......it's just my own personal preference, and I am aware that I am out on a limb in mentioning this.

Love the view from down in the hole my friend, the water is a bit milky for me too, but you were there and know the difficuties at the time. The falls here are a great place to forget about time and get lost in the enjoyment.

Ronnie/Dougie no problem, the effect actually was intentional, but I do however appreciate that its not everyone's cup of tea, or should I say dram of whisky were you are? Wink

Thanks everyone for all your time and comments, always appreciated!

Lovely mono image. It would be interesting to do comparison shots with different ISO's. I think the result of turning water soft or milky with long exposure times suits some pictures and not others - I usually try several options and compare them for my own selection. I don't think there is any way to please everyone! A
WOW!! This suits the mono treatment very well indeed. Superb! Louise
