Excellent sharpness especially being handheld.
I find my Canon 70-300mm my most difficult to use lens.
I rarely get a sharp image if hand held an dit hunts a lot when I try to capture birds.
So you've still got it Trevor!

I never use a tripod out of doors now, Trev, and all my shots are hand held: here you have got excellent detail in this hand held shot of the bee which shows up so well against the b/g tone.
At 260mm. but just ISO 100 I guess that had it been a little OOF you could easily have upped the ISO and the Nikon would have coped very well.
At least That is what I have found with my D7000 and D600.
