Burchell's Starling

By Gezina
Thank you very much for c'c on Nutty snacktime upload - much appreciated.
Today another offering from the Kruger - I think this is a Burchell's Starling but a very similar species is a Meve's Starling, the one has a slim build the other is heavier in build but I need to see them toghether to differenciate. As you can see in the plumage a very sunny day showing the iridescense well - hope you like it -Ina

Stunning capture and composition Ina. Love the pose, giving a full view of the glorious plumage with its fabulous iridescent tones and profile of the face with good catchlight in the eye. Super dof. What an elegant looking bird.

Very nice shot - catching those lovely irridescent colours a treat. Posted a mod and lightened the darker areas to show the colours up more with a bit of dodging and burning - hope you dont mind - Regards Ray
