A set of six shots all taken this June and July of burnet moths feeding on knapweed. Versions 1-3 and version 5 were all taken at Leckhampton Hill near Cheltenham and versions 4 and 6 at the Bill Smyllie Nature Reserve managed by Butterfly Conservation, close to Cleeve Hill.

Each and every one is so detailed and makes up a lovely set. Mt favourite is possibly V 3 but it's a hard choice.

I love these little burnets, their dark colour always stands out so well against flowers and their lovely long antennae curl over at the ends. V1 is my favourite becaue the light has beautifully picked out all the detail and in particular the shine and texture of the wings.

What a lovely set! V3 & V5 are my personal favourites. We have lots of Knapweed around but never yet seen a Burnet.

Wonderful set, Ed, super DOF. All great, hard to choose from, but I love the dark blue-green irridescence in v's 2 and 6. All very fine captures.
