You can't always have what you want Mick, mores the pity, mind you at our age probably would not know what to do with her anyway, a nice shot mate. - gary

This bus stop looks a little scary-- like maybe a gorilla might have been around the corner!

In this weather???
Great reflection of a great building.

Looks a little too wet and cold for a leggy blonde Mick. Maybe a blonde Scotsman in a kilt though. I think you did well to get somebody. Nice shot.................Sandy

Cracking shot Mick, great lines and reflections. You never know another trip there might produce the leggy blonde Smile

Hello Mick, Wouldn't we all? But the figures you have are very good because of the red colour which really stands out so well. I like your choice of mirror and isn't it interesting that though generally the surface may appear flat the reflection shows that flat it certainly is not. Richard

'I agree with Jenn, on this one,' Mick. It looks a little scary at this bus stop. Good shot, Mate.

Mavis, you are totally forgiven.I quite agree that rust is not a popular subject on the site and it can actually upset people.
I sometimes wonder to myself if THAT is the real reason I upload it !!
And funnily enough,to get 16 votes on an image I uploaded 2 hours ago,is a first for me !!

I seem to be out of step here Mick. I actually prefer the first one, leggy blonde or no leggy blonde.

I know what you're like with leggy blondes, Mick. You have been very appreciative of a couple of mine. In which case, you really must return to this bus stop on a sunny day and your wish will surely be granted. In the meantime, though, I rather like this and agree that it is a lot better than the previous attempt. It is often difficult to find decent colour on a dull, wet day (but a bright red anorak certainly helps). I am a little disconcerted, though. Despite having spent several minutes examining this magnus opus, I still can't find any rust.

Agree Mick, a leggy blonde, you would not have the time or is it now your wife and daughter are doing their American retail therapy??Wink
Love this with the people at the bus stop, and how kind he was to wear a bright red jacket to enhance this one even more...great shot of reflections for an abstract image well shot

At least one of the two standing at the bus stop is actually a leggy blonde, Mick. Unfortunately in Edinburgh's mid-winter rain he/she is/they are unwilling to show you his/her/their knees/hairstyle. But knowing how persistent you are the opportunity will assuredly arise again Smile
Meanwhile this would be an excellent addition to the reality? group's theme this month.......
Regards
Bill

Not totally sure about the mid-winter bit. The BBC weather forecasts have implied that Scotland has been yards deep in snow for most of the last week but haven't shown us one single picture to prove it.......

I rather like this, there's a balance between the details bottom left and top right. But it seriously needs to be straightened - I'd spend a few seconds with Image>transform>skew. Wobbly, undisciplined reflections work best in the confines of a neat, tidy frame.

You better go back with the windowlene mate, you missed a bit half way up.
Good shot

Love the wibbly wobbly reflections, and agree the figures give perspective, but I'd still like it without them.

You have had had good constructive critique on this one Mick so just get it sorted. All you need to do is photograph a leggy blonde preferably female but a sheep would do for me and super impose it into the scene at the bus stop and bob's yer uncle.
16 Mar 2011 5:33PM
Love all those wibbly wobbly windows Mick, and yes, a shame there's no Blonde with wibbly wobbly legs Smile

Mick you are so good at this type of photography - with or without blondes - what's the fascination with leggy blonds anyway? Or do you mean an Afghan Hound? Now that sort of leggy blond I can understand.

Love the shot BTW!

Nice one Mick.

I'd just have given it a slight twist to the left to straighten it. You know what judges are like. Smile
