Business can wait, its tea time

By shmaher
This is a street photo taken in the bylanes of Mathura, the town of Lord Krishna in North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This was taken at 9:30am in Jan 2014 when I was part of a family pilgrimage to this holy place. The street side shop sell clothes, shawls etc. for mostly women. The masala tea here is drunk in throwaway earthen cups and is a must to drive away the early morning chill. Taken from my Nikon D5200 f4 at 1/80 focal length 26mm & ISO 400. Sure the abundant colours are great to watch but what you cannot feel is the warmth that the shopkeepers so generously exhibited that cold morning...

I believe so too, masala tea comes first!. Lovely shot with a wonderful splash of coloured shawls & yes I have been to Mathura & Brindavan on my way from Delhi to Jaipur, & I believe Mathura is especially special during the holi festival, I missed it as i celebrated holi in Pushkar last year.

How lovely that people take the time to stop and chat and take tea. Super shot. I love all the fabrics but I like the friendship more. Smile
