Business on boat...

By Sahyadri

Been away a bit caught up at work and trying to keep the boys busy at home with thier studies. I am catching up on all those lovely uploads..

Have not been taking the camera out of the case for many days now. however, last week, I hosted a lunch on a boat in the backwaters for some business partners. here are some shots. a sunday morning fun upload, actually getting back in touch with all my EPZ friends.

The Taj ( one of the upmarket hotel chains in India) does an excellent lunch on boat here. My buisness visitors find this a different experinace from teh ususal restaurant stuff. They get to see a bit of local colours as well. a bit expensive, but worth the investment if you as meWink )

Most client visits and business reviews are done and thsi week is going to be an easy one ( I hope so) we plan to go to the newly opened mall today just to chill out. unfortunately they dont allow photograhy in most of these places now. all the same i shall take my camera along.

Hope you all have a great weekend. and thank you for your valuable time.

like number one for the line
number 2 for colours, & esp. number 3 : a very pleasant abstract feel...

Is it in Kerala? I would love to see more of the landscapes there, though I like this series as well! Beautiful, well done

1 for me has a wide angle charm that would still be enhanced if you had framed this in such a way that the shoes of the men at the end of the row would have been just outside the frame. Nice one though.

I've seen photos of these boats and have always been intrigued by the woven covers. Love your abstract in V3.

A different take of India here Rad.To see the ''corporate business'' side of it.It is something I did not really associate with the Country, but of course it is a side that is part and parcel of the daily routine. The line up of business partners here, strike me as powerful, influential individials. It goes without saying they are educated, hard working individuals. They would not be where they are if they were not.I just wonder how many toes they trod on, to get up that ladder to the top !! An intriguing image this one. With a lot more intrigue going through the minds of the gentlemen here I fancy !!!!

Absolutely love V1! These are what we refer to here as 'suits', fairly anonymous businessmen, but here they are relaxing and unwinding in very individual ways - the body language is brilliant. The chap on the right couldn't be better if you had choreographed him.
Plus the light is cool and clean, very inviting.
Welcome back, hope you've had a good time with your boys, and this is a super return.
PS I don't agree about a crop - I like the sharp angle of those heels on the left, they balance the angle of the arm on the far right.

Good morning Radhika, and a wonderful week-end to you!

Pascal has hit the nail on the head about all three images. I find V1 particularly strong; if you had labelled it simply "Corporate" the meaning would have been just as clear. V2 is excellent: one can imagine what is going through the minds of all these individuals. I wonder if you have considered V1 and V2 in mono?

Thanks everyone.

Mick, yes lot of thoughts were on the minds cos right after this lunch we drove to office for that boardroom discussion on pricing and volume of work. many many dollars on the table here, so all of us had our own thoughts in teh back groound I am sure while we engaged in light hearted conversations.

Moira, always value your insightful comments.

for more details on the boat, i am sure there were earlier uploads of these in my p/f

Great to see you back on with more great write ups to accompany your shots. Quick look and vote today - loads to look at. I have been to the annual club exhibition to present a digital slide show, had to run it four times and the last presentation had over 60 people viewing. A few weeks back was the juding so i've been busy putting it all together for the catalogue and producing the video. As a result the club had now added digital imagining to our regular comps.

I definitely prefer number one. I was thinking that maybe it would be nice to see more faces. Mabe if one of these people was a bit stronger in the frame, like the guy to the right.
I love how you have included "all" nationalities here - it is like a meeting to save the world Smile
