Busy Bee

Ok... this is the dreaded bee shot that cost me a bruised knee and my patience in tatters.... firstly i had a 'breeze' batting the lavender around plus when they say 'busy as a bee' i didn't realise how busy they were until I sat trying to 'snap' one... do they ever keep still?

Anyway C&C welcomed because... I concentrated so hard on trying not to get camera shake and focusing on the bee that i lost it completely on acquiring perfect lavender :-( I will try again at some point to get the 'whole' shot focused properly.

Thanks for the great response on my butterfly yesterday and I am slowly going to make my way around EPZ and do some catch up... i seem to have missed loads - AGAIN!!

The sharpness of the main subject takes away any minor imperfections elsewhere Karen, superb shot and 10 out of 10 for your endevours.

Lovely shot - definitely worth a bruised knee! I like the lavender as it is - makes the shot stand out from the standard bee shot.

Well worth sticking with and a bruise or two, it came out very well. You might be better off getting them flying, set your focus and then shoot anything in the that flys towards the target flower.

Well done Karen, lovely shot, great composition.. it's not easy is it? ... I've just got my new macro lens this weekend and it's opened a whole new "frustrating" world.. Took me ages to get a Bee shot I liked

No they NEVER keep still and being dark makes them even harder.
