I saw this sort of thing done high up in the Turkish Mountains . They filled all the cracks in the woodwork with cow Dung . We arrived there on a sleepy hot afternoon and the air hummed !!They also used it dry for their cooking .
This is a good shot and brings back memories of 1993

Interesting image with a nicely matching frame. I've always marvelled at the many uses of cow dung. It is not only the best fertilizer, when dried it makes an excellent fuel for cooking (it is hot and produces little smoke) and mixed with clay it provides a strong and dust free floor.
