Butterflies 2015 No 17

I haven't seen any sign of the Common Blues yet, but a good walk around Twywell this morning, revealed
this Brown Argus Aricia agestis.
Though one of the first of the season, he is showing a few battle scars already. I reckon it is the dog-fights with the GrizzledsWink

A terrific shot of this brown argus basking, not seen any of these yet this year. It's grizzled appearance may not be a result of those pesky little skippers, it could be due to all the wind and rain we've had recently, possibly being whipped across the wings by blades of grass!Wink
