Buttermere

By Acancarter
A moody Lakeland shot today. It was gloomy so everything was in a bit of shadow. I liked the tree on the right, but really needed better isolation of the trees on the left.

Thanks for all the votes and comments on 'Sing, Dance, Fly' yesterday, and the user awards from Fabio, Dave, Steve, John and Sandy.

Fabio has created an amazing 'Sonification' of the image, which we have posted as a blog Sonification of Sing, Dance, Fly . The Harmonograph was invented as a way of visualising musical notes and relationship. Fabio has now taken this full circle - back to music and sound!

I'll be off line for a few days now, so will catch up later

For me it is well balanced Andy. The central lead offset by the lone tree and then the cloud shrouded mountains. Highly atmospheric and as photographers we always see where we could have improved. Time, light, movement doesn't stop in the great outdoors and you have worked really well with the light.

Enjoy your break.

Lovely B&W landscape shot...great tonal contrast. Yes, I like the bare tree on the right as well...adds to the moody atmosphere of the composition....Smile

Captured the moodiness of the weather very well here, Andy 👍 A very lovely composition too, and had to be in mono, wouldn't have worked half as well in colour I don't think 😃
