Buzzard

By PaulLiley
Here is another shot taken at a similar time but have tried, as Dave (Ugly) suggested and altered the levels and tones a bit in PS. I still don't think the great detail is there which, (with the limits of my lens) only comes with getting close to the bird. With Buzzards that's down to a lot of luck. Thanks for you comments and votes on the last one. I am really sorry I think I got the ID wrong. It's a buzzard and I feel very embarrassed I got it wrong. Apologies to all and thanks for your comments.

I think you have done exceptionally well with this. It may not be absolutely pin-sharp but the pose and the colour make up for it.

I've been trying to get a good Marshy shot at Leighton for years and haven't managed anything near as good as this.

You have done a lot better than I would ever have managed, Paul.
Perhaps the detail is not as crisp as you would have wished but you have still managed a very good in-flight shot.

As others have already said, though not pin-sharp, what you have is a lovely in-flight. The shape of the bird is excellent.

Hard to capture without being close but a great image nonetheless and especially
with the mouth open in flight.

You are one up on me Paul! I have never been lucky to even see one, I would rather have a bad capture than none at all, also the pleasure of seeing one, well done mate!

I go along with Trevour, on that one Paul, your getting better!, I'm told you have to pan with it at a slightly faster speed!, I'm no good doing it with camera!, a gun is a different matter! but I don't go shooting anymore Poacher turned game keeper I think the term is, nice shot well done, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Very well done Paul, in flight shots are IMHO incredibly difficult. I have tried more than once and have never managed to get anything nearly as good as this, keep up the good work

Superbly captured image,Paul. i'm sure it's very difficult. I can never find a bird, when I see one, most of the time it's gone...Grin
