Bye bye Canon 450D

By Angi_Wallace
This is the second last image taken by my trusty Canon 450D last night, just before I fell into a canal with it Sad, Im hoping it works once it is all dried out.
V2 is taken by my friend Mark Stone after my night swim

The image took 4 of us to complete it. I was behind the old boat with a sparkler making it look as if it was on fire from behind, Myk and Mark lit the wood from the front with flashes and Rich spun the orb. In V3 we used a laser pen aswell to light the grass.

Insurance .............

But at least you got a decent shot before you killed it (it will die over time as the corrosion sets in)

Does that mean there is nothing that can be done to save it?

Besides the camera falling in, how did you fall in, had you had one to many?

, Lol, no alcohol was involved Wink. Would you believe that I stepped straight in? We were setting up to take images looking towards a bridge over the canal, where we were planning to spin wire wool. Leading from the bridge were some concreted areas on the other side of the bridge that were lower than the path , but immediately next to the bridge, in sort of triangular shapes. I thought it was the same on my side of the canal and stepped down the two steps only to sink through what I had thought was a concrete surface and end up to my neck in canal. That area was covered in thick algae/pond weed etc which under moonlight had given it the appearance of concrete. Luckily it wasnt too deep in that cornered off section Wink.
Funny thing is that the other guys heard a noise and saw a duck fleeing across the water and joked about it - they couldnt see me due to a huge bush and commented along the lines of "what was that?" " Oh ducks" " Ha its probably Angi falling in"( said jokingly) then they both laughed - a few seconds later they heard a little voice " can somebody help me please" as I couldnt climb out Wink

A fair amount of work involved, to achieve these images.
The boat does look as if it is on fire.

Don't thin there is much hope for the camera - Ouch!

Great set of shots, that's a tight orb, great work.
Sorry to hear about the camera.
